Thornton School of Music

Shouts out to the Trojans! One evening after an amazing lecture from Guru over at USC, Chris Sampson assistant Dean, basically said “Hey Guru, would you like to be our artist-in-residence?” This was a special invitation, not only because it was the first time Chris had ever heard Guru speak (teach), but also because it came at a unique and transitional time for the program. We worked with the Thornton School of Music (no, not Dre and Jimmy’s school).

What we did:

  • Assisted on Curriculum build.
  • Engaged school on external research around music production and sound.
  • Built strategic plan for campus visits and student engagement.

What’s up now?:

  • We have a partnership in the works with Thornton’s music community outreach program – one of the largest in the world.
